The Run For Life is a pro-life relay run covering 351 miles from Homestead, FL to St. Augustine, FL. A team of runners, (sometimes as few as 3, sometimes as many as 6) complete the Run for Life over 9 consecutive days filled with prayer and physical sacrifice offered in reparation for the sin of abortion and in petition for an end to this atrocity. The runners begin their day attending morning Mass as a team and continue their prayer throughout the day with many rosaries and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Funds generated from the Run For Life are donated to homes for unwed mothers Joe Hellriegel has taken part in the Run for Life for the past 11 years, both in its organization and as a key runner on the team.
